Sleman - Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) conducted an offline visit to FEB Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVY)  located in the SP D-1 Economic Development Faculty of Economics and Business Campus 1 UPNVY. The visit, which was held on November 9, 2020, was aimed at a comparative study in implementing Independent Learning-Independent Campus (MBKM). MBKM is a policy of the Minister of Education and Culture which aims to encourage students to master various useful disciplines to get into the world of work where the Independent Campus will provide opportunities for students to choose the courses they will take.

Dr. Sri Suharsih, SE., M.Si, as the Deputy Dean I for Academic Affairs, FEB UPNVY welcomed the arrival of FEB UPNVJ. She explained that FEB UPNVY always changes curriculum every two years to meet student demands and the times.

"This year, the Accounting Department of the Faculty of Economics and Business UPNVY has already had a Public Speaking course, the Management Department has a Digital Business course, and the Development Economics major has a Mining Economics course," explained the Deputy Dean 1 for Academic Affairs FEB UPNVY conveying at the event of Sharing Session.

Andi Manggala Putra, SE., M.Sc as the Head of the FEB UPNVJ Accounting Department explained that in order to support the MBKM policy, the UPNVJ Accounting Department has created a curriculum containing five program options, namely internships, student exchanges, research, entrepreneurial activities, or humanitarian projects (such as Public Community Service). In the 6th semester, the students can choose one of five programs according to their interests and each program is equivalent to 20 credits which will be recorded in the transcript. In line with one of the MBKM policies, namely the student exchange program, UPNVJ is working on the implementation of the PERMATA-SAKTI program (Indonesian National Student Exchange-Credit Transfer System with Information Technology). However, consideration is still needed regarding the grade in which between the sending campus and the receiving campus must have the same unit value agreement.

"Hopefully, this visit can support the Independent Learning-Independent Campus Program (MBKM) programmed by the Ministry of Education and Culture and we hope that the PERMATA-SAKTI program between UPNVJ and UPNVY can be carried out," explained Andi Mangala Putra. PR
