UPNVY GRABED GOLD AND BRONZE AT YOUNG MOODO COMPETITION OF DIY REGIONAL SPORTS WEEK :: dipost pada 02 Agustus 2017

BANTUL - Dina Laksita Yulianingrum had experienced sickness, tiredness and injure while practicing Yoong Moodo, but it was all paid off after she won the championship of  Young Moodo Porda XIV DIY 2017 on Sunday (07/30/2017).

The two-day championship at GOR Piramyd Sewon Bantul was attended by 5 regencies in DIY province. Dina, along with her two colleagues Arlita Qurnia Dewi and Muchamad Supriyadi, won one gold and two bronze medals.

"I did not expect to achieve gold. Alhamdulillah I won," said Dina.

Dina who is a student of the 3rd semester of UPN Veteran Yogyakarta (UPNVY) Management Study Program UPNVY admitted for not knowing about martial arts sport Yoong Moodo. She attended the UPNVY Dojo training as being told by her senior. After practicing, she became more interested in deepening the mandatory science of the army Martial Arts .

"I'm interested in it because in addition to improve physical strength, fitness, it protects myself, I think this sport is not boring, but it is challenging," she said.

Sugiyatno's second child confessed before practicing Yoong Moodo, she herself never practiced the martial arts. She started the practice in the early of March 2017 and Porda DIY was her first competition. Her interest in practicing Yoong Moodo was supported by parents. Her parents always reminded her the exercise schedule.

Born in Sleman, July 14, 1997, she was active in practicing Yoong Moodo for twice a week  and doing daily intensive training before the competition. For Dina, Yoong Moodo was one of the encouragements to achieve and realize the ideals.

Dina whose favorite food are gudeg and satay was proud of the achievement she got. In addition to personal and family names, the most important thing was having UPNVY name in the competition. Therefore, she hoped her colleagues, especially women, would be able to join Yoong Moodo practice.

She said women should have the ability of martial arts because they often became the target of crime. By having a martial arts skill, women would not have to worry going home late and alone. In addition to the self-defense, Yong Moodo could also be an alternative to lose weight. Dina admitted that she would be ready if she would be asked to compete again.
