SLEMAN - Hundreds of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) academic civitas, lecturers, education staffs, and students attended the Flag Ceremony, in the central field of UPN Condong Catur Campus, Monday (18/09/2017). On the occasion, the Rector of UPNVY, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sari Bahagiarti K, M.Sc. was the head of ceremony standing  in front of the participants.

In 2017 UPNVY got the 40th rank   in the non-Polytechnic Universities ranking released by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (MORTHE), in Jakarta.

"This ranking is the result of the assessment of about 4000 Universities both State and Private in Indonesia, through the University Database," said Rector.

The professor of the Faculty of Mineral Technology said that the academic community could get the higher  rank next year by improving the quality of various fields.

On this occasion, the Rector delivered UPNVY to be involved in Asean University Network (AUN / SEED-Net) at 10th  Regional Conference on Geological and Geo-Resource Engineering, held at Phnom Penh State, 2nd - 3rd of August 2017. UPNVY participated in presentation of papers and as chairman of the hearing.

"The conference activity on geology, geology and engineering resources is also held with a visit to the Cambodian Institute of Technology campus to review the laboratories of the higher education institution," said Rector in front of the ceremony participants.

Rector further said that since the beginning of 2017 UPNVY has set up a road map and implement bureaucratic reform. In the program, the target to be achieved as a quick win in 2017 is the realization of Integrated Information System, covering academic, student affairs, finance, human resources, and assets.

In addition, a visitation has been conducted on 5-6 September by BAN PT in order to have an accreditation of Higher Education.

At the routine ceremony held every month, the Rector also delivered various activities and achievement incision during the month of August. (wwj / humas)
