The Working Unit Team for Acceleration of Guru Besar (Professors) of NUP “Veteran “ Yogyakarta started the year with a program activity entitled Training on Scientific/Academic Writing in Reputed International Journals (Pelatihan Penulisan Artikel Ilmiah pada Jurnal International Bereputasi), which was held on Thursday, January 26th, 2017, taking place in FEB Seminar Room, UPNVYK, This activity was aimed at assisting, supporting, motivating and creating the publications for professors candidates/senior lecturers being the target for the acceleration of Academic Writing in Reputed International Journals. The program was participated by internal key speakers, who are also a Reviewer at Higher Education Researches, Dr. Awang H,P. ST, MT and Dr. Suranto ST. Mt., respectively who presented the topic on how to seek and check whether the journals targeted are classified into the reputed ones, sharing experiences in publication, tips, tricks and the methodology used in the researches so as to be accepted in the publication of  reputes international journals. This program was attended not only by the senior lecturers targeted for the acceleration but also by the other lecturers interested in this theme.

This program constitutes the beginning or introduction to a series of the subsequent activities related to the arrival of Prof. Dr. Raddatz, the co-editor of the Journal “Praxis Fremdrachenunterricht, who was present to provide the training and to assist the candidates for professors and other lecturers interested in publishing their articles in the Reputed International Journals. The agenda of the program was as follows: 

1. Collecting the paper drafts on February 20th – 23rd , 2017 via email, addressed to herlinajayadiayanti@gmail.com.
2. Training with Prof. Dr. Raddatz on March 20th – April 6th 2017, from 09.00 to 11.00 West- Indonesian Time, with the following divisions in each faculty of UPNVYK

            We do hope that this series of training activities are able to assist the academicians within UPNVYK and that that the real results of the acceleration of professorship can be manifested, as the accelerated professorship will become the future needs for UPNVYK.
