SLEMAN - A total of 103 students from the Department of Industrial Engineering UPN "Veteran" East Java visited the Department of Industrial Engineering UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY), Wednesday (6/9/2017). The visit was in the framework of an inter-university comparative study organized by UPNVY Industrial Engineering Student Association. The lecturer also joined the visit of the comparative study with the theme of "Visiting University as Learning Comparative Study”.
The Chairman of the Welcoming Committee for Comparative Study, member of UPNVY Industrial Engineering Students Association, Izmalia Yulistya said that inter-university visits were considered as appropriate measures to improve the quality of learning and understanding as well as real practice of the nature of the competence itself.
"The world of education is a potential container to shape the readiness of the young generation with qualified competence l," said the UPNVY Industrial Engineering Department student.
Furthermore, a woman born in Tangerang City August 20, 1997 said through the visit of a comparative study could add experience, insight, and relationships. In addition, it could also improve the quality of teaching and learning in applying theories that have been taught and studied in college. According Syafira, it was one of the learning efforts conducted by direct observation method.
"The direct observation method is expected to create effective learning, so that students understand the application of theories taught during college better", she explained. In addition, it could explore the participants’ knowledge and experience, as well as establish working relationships between the University and could balance the mindset and dynamic work patterns.
