KSR PMI UPNVY ACHIEVED CHAMPION :: dipost pada 29 September 2017

SLEMAN - After being vacuum since the 90's at the competition event, Volunteer Corps Activities Unit (KSR) PMI Unit III UPNVY reshowed the skill in Wahana Jumpa Prestasi Nasional in Semarang. At the national level KSR competitions organized by KSR PMI Unit UIN Walisongo Semarang on September 4-7, 2017, KSR PMI UPNVY successfully won the champion beating 10 other universities.

The race included first aid competitions, appropriate technology, journalistic videos, and speech contest. KSR PMI UPNVY sent a team of six people, one assistant, and one coach. Muhammad Ananda, Dwiky Surya Febriyant, Hasnin Arifiani represented the first aid contest, Arifa Meira Kinanti represented the speech contest, and Intan Aisyah represented the Journalistic Video Contest, and Precise Technology Competition.

Muhammad Ananda, an Accounting Study Program student who was also one of the participants said that in this event his team got two trophies from Semarang namely 1st  Winner of Appropriate Technology on behalf of Intan Aisyah, and Grade B Cup of 6th  National Rating.

"We displayed water treatment that is a water purifier tool in the race of appropriate technology. We used charcoal and rocks that served as a water filter. This water purifier can be utilized when disaster strikes, "said the 5th semester student when was met in the Public Relations Room of UPN Codong Catur, Tuesday (26/9/2017).

Students who actively volunteer for PMI since high school said he and the team made preparations in the form of daily exercise routine to face the race. They were very proud of this achievement, especially since the vacuum in the race event, this achievement was the first trophy for KSR PMI UPNVY.

"The last time we joined the KSR competition in UNY but we did not become the champion. KSR competitions are rarely held so this is our  real achievement," he said.

Ananda added PMI UPNVY was also ranked 5th  in Journalism Video, ranked 8th  in the Speech Contest, and ranked 9th in the First Aid race.

On this result, KSR PMI Unit III UPN Veteran Yogyakarta with Frans Arieston and coach Aditya Triwahyudi contributed achievement in Student Activity Unit and University on the national scale. KSR PMI UPNVY aimed to be the first winner in the national level KSR event. (wwj/humas)
