SLEMAN - Mini-rail parade, andong, the strains of musical instruments and shouts of "yells" colored the Graduation Ceremony Graduation, Bachelor and Master Program Period The Academic Year of 2017/2018 at WR Auditorium. Supratman, UPNVY Condong Catur Campus, Saturday (13/01/2017). This parade is a tradition of welcoming graduates who have been doing for a long time in UPNVY. In this parade each faculty used different attributes. They usually wore uniforms, rented major flags and musical instruments such as drums or bass to enliven the parade. Moreover, some majors also brought a mascot of pride like Petroleum Engineering that carried a mascot of Sucker Rod Pump or petroleum pump. The  graduates gathered in each faculty then paraded by a group of students to the Auditorium where the graduation procession took place. The student entourage is the juniors at the faculty who celebrated the senior graduation. Ramadhani Kusuma Putra, a 6th  semester Geophysics Engineering student who was lined up as a coordinator in the department, said the event was a form of gratitude and pride to the seniors. He and his friends deliberately took the time to practice in order to deliver the graduation with a festive. "We practice almost a month, once a week within a month. We are very happy and proud that our seniors can graduate, " he said after taking the graduates to the event. One of the graduates, Benny Ariandy Saputra said he was very happy to be with the tribal seniors celebrating his success in graduation. He along with other graduates from the Department of Petroleum participated in the parade up to the graduation site. He himself for 3 consecutive years also participated in a parade delegation delivering seniors. "Now it is changed, I used to join the parade. So, the junior and senior are more familiar by having it, "he said. (wwj / humas)
