SLEMAN - A total of 10 graduates received the award of Cendekia's Work at the Graduation Ceremony of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVY) on Graduation of Diploma, Bachelor, and Master of the 2nd Academic Year of 2017/2018, Saturday (13/1/2018).
Cendekia's work is an award given to students with academic achievement, graduation in short time, off-campus achievement, and organizational and social activities activeness. The awarding has been going on for about 18 years and is given to students every graduation period.
The award-winning committee selected 554 graduates by comparing the various components of the assessment.
The Cendekia Award was awarded directly by the Rector of UPNYK, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sari Bahagiarti K, M.Sc. at the graduation ceremony. To the recipients of the award, the Rector congratulated the award winners and advised not only to be good at academics, but also soft skills obtained during his study in college.
"I hope you can use the provision of knowledge in college as a provision to help build a beloved country, country beloved intelligently, hard, and sincerely with the spirit of discipline, stance, and creativity," Sari said when giving a speech.
Benny Ariandy Saputra was selected from Petroleum Engineering Department with a total score of 696 became the first winner of the award, followed by Bella Wijdani Sakina from Geology Engineering Program with a value of 509, and Edi Satriawan from Mining Engineering Prodi with a value of 490. All three were entitled to get a laptop gift from UPNVY. While seven others got a gift in the form of a memento of UPNVY.
