SLEMAN - UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) with other ASEAN colleges were actively involved in the 7th  Passage to ASEAN Passage to ASEAN (P2A) Members' Meeting as well as the 2nd  P2A Annual General Meeting at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). P2A held 28-30 January 2018 was a college association that facilitates the student mobility in the ASEAN region.

Dr. Rukmowati Brotodjojo, Head of UPT Language and International Services who presented representing UPNVY said P2A currently has 77 members.

The Association established in 2012 aims to build friendship and respect among ASEAN youth through mobility and joint activities when they visit partner countries.

"Holistically P2A educates the younger generation of ASEAN to understand the culture of other countries and the values ??of empathy, cooperation, and passion so that they are able to contribute as citizens of a good global world," Rukmowati said.

The meeting discussed the organization's target in 2020 that is improving the quality and quantity of students’ mobility, empowerment and involvement, integrating the professional development in learning outcomes, and strengthening organization and position in the global region.

In addition, in order to achieve learning objectives, it also discussed the syllabus of mobility program that included the pre-mobility, mobility and post mobility with a target period of 15 weeks.

By using such designs it is expected that mobility programs can be recognized as learning credits.

"In addition, it is also agreed that the cost will be charged to mobility participants that is a maximum of 40 USD per day in lieu of accommodation and consumption costs during the activities," he concluded.
