SLEMAN - Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Yogyakarta officially released the students of Real Work Lecture (KKN) to West Nusa Tenggara on Thursday (30/3/2018).
The release of KKN students to Sangiang village, Wera sub-district, Bima regency, West Nusa Tenggara took place on the ground floor of UPNVY Rectorate Building, Condongcatur Campus which was attended by 21 students.
This KKN release was led by the Head of LPPM UPNVY Heru Sigit Purwanto. He himself said that thematic KKN Program for the remote areas in the area of ??Mount Sangiang was the first time KKN that was held out of Java.
Heru said the program has its main program of disaster management by educating the local people and preparing geotourism for the area.
"Hopefully the students can become superior human beings and contribute in enhancing the nation's competitiveness. Indonesia is wide, you can explore the potency that exists by the knowledge you have, "said Heru.
In addition to out of Java KKN, as many as 425 students would be dispatched to KKN locations in Yogyakarta and Central Java for one month. They joined the KKN program of Batch 64 Even Semester of Academic Year 2018 from self-directed and thematic program which was planned to be officially released by UPNVY Rector, Prof. Dr. Sari Bahagiarti K, M.Sc on 2 April 2018.
