UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta’s Rector, Mrs. Prof. Dr. Sari Bahagiarti K., MSc. was cordially received by the Regent of Sleman, Mr. Sri Purnomo in his official room in order to present the progress report of the nationalization of UPN”Veteran” Yogyakarta. UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta’s Rector was accompanied by Deputy Rector commissioning General Affairs and Finance and Deputy Rector Commissioning Students’ Affairs and Cooperation. On this occasion the Deputy Rector Commissioning Students’ Affairs and Cooperation reported the progress achieved by UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta in which he stated that UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta has 5 faculties with 19 study programs. These faculties are the faculty of Mineral Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Economy, Faculty of Industrial Technology and Faculty of Social Sciences and Politics. At present, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta is opening 3 new study programs: Information System from faculty of Industry, Geology from Faculty of Agriculture and Metallurgy Engineering from the Faculty of Minerals.

The status promotion, from a private university to a state university, has resulted in the increased number of new students registered that that during the time of its private university status.  With the visit, it is hoped that, with the increased number of students, the regional Government of Sleman will be able to assist UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta in performing its program to develop the campus areas. The cordial visit was closed with a mutual picture-taking session.
