SLEMAN - The dynamics of student life which cannot be separated from the container or organization realize the idea or program. Both intra and extra colleges organizations are students' self-development media. However, most people consider being active in campus organization activity or activist is like oil and water with their achievement in academic field. Student activists usually have a low GPA and have a long time to graduate because they are preoccupied with organizational activities.

However,  this assumption does not apply to Muhammad Syafiq Isnaya, a student of Mining Engineering UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) who now holds a Bachelor of Engineering (ST) degree at the Graduation Program Diploma, Bachelor and Master of the 3rd Academic Year 2017/2018 at Auditorium WR. Supratman, UPNVY Condong Catur Campus, Saturday (21/04/2018).

The activist of UPNVY Student Executive Board achieved cum laude predicate with GPA 3,555 with 4 years 7 months study period. Banjarnegara-born man, February 22, 1995 also won the first rank of award-winning Karya Cendekia along with 13 other graduates. Scholar's work is given to students who not only have academic achievements and graduated in a short time, but also excel in various scientific and non scientific events, active in organizational and social activities.  Winning  this award, he got a laptop unit from UPNVY.

The son of the couple Slamet Istiyana and Supri Endang S got a myriad of experiences and awards as a board of BEM University, BEM Board of Faculty of Mineral Technology and actively participated in various seminars and committees.

"Joining BEM is an unforgettable experience for me. I joined BEM in the field of Community Service. Here I learned how to apply knowledge and to be useful for the community, "he said when met on the sidelines of the graduation ceremony.

Being a Coordinator of community service activities, said Syafiq, was not only think about himself. He must understand the conditions and contribute to the community.

"For example,  we managedg a mitigation village in Pedakbaru Village in overcoming floods, and Monggol village that is linked to the built villages," the story is excited.

Business in the organization did not make him forgot other things, it was recorded various awards from various championship event he has achieved.

Shafiq has been the Champion of the National Mining Camp Competition at the National Level in 2016 and 2017, the third winner of the Competition III Mining Competition at Indonesia Students Mining Competition 2017 at ITB, and the 10th  Mine Surveying and Hand Steeling Indonesia and Neighbouring Countries Students Mining Competition .

"The most memorable moment of the last competition was  becoming a coach. There were  Rightier rivals, there was a university from Africa, we won the 3rd general champion, 1 silver difference from competitors, "he said.

On the New Student Admissions FY 2018/2019 he advised that the prospective students can recognize the potential and develop it during college. Syafiq said, students should be able to utilize the time well through positive activities. (wwj / humas)
