SLEMAN - The number of applicants through the Joint Selection of State Universities or SBMPTN in 2018, at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY), until Thursday (26/4/2018) at 10.00 WIB recorded 26,478 prospective students.
"This applicants number increased from SBMPTN last year, and we are sure that the numbers will continue to rise up until the closing day," said Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, M. Irhas Effendi, Thursday (26/04/2018).
Irhas said that enthusiasts choosing the Management Program at UPNVY has dominated the top rank since the beginning of SBMPTN registration. According to him, the Management program becomes the favorite choice of the applicant because the study program has been popular among the prospective students and also has the accreditation ranking A. Also, the preferred choices of applicant are Communication Science, Mining Engineering and Informatics Engineering.
"There is still a chance to register on the SBMPTN line until tomorrow on 27 April 2018," he said.
In addition to the opening of new admissions through the SBMPTN, UPNVY also opens the registration of students through Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN) which announced the results a few days ago and through the Selection Mandiri.
"The Independent Selection registration will be on May 9 to June 13, 2018," said Irhas.
In this year SBMPTN is held through two types of tests, namely Manually or Print Based Writing Exam (UTBC) and Computer Based Writing Exam (UTBK) which can be followed by graduate students of 2016, 2017 and 2018 from the secondary education (SMA / MA / SMK ) and the equivalent and the graduates of Package C of 2016, 2017 and 2018.
UPNVY UTBC will be implemented by 3500 participants, and UTBK by 300 participants on May 8, 2018.
UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta has a capacity of 3,035 prospective undergraduate students and 80 prospective D3 students this year. A total of 911 seats are allocated through the SNMPTN line. The remaining 1,214 seats are for SBMPTN and 911 seats are allocated for Independent Selection. (wwj / humas)
