BANTUL, KRJOGJA.com - Student of Communication Science UPN 'Veteran' Yogyakarta, Saturday (28/4/2018) conducted Mangrove Seeds and Fruits Planting and animal release at Baros Beach, Bantul. The action attended by several students from 15 high schools in DIY was opened with Public Relations Workshop by lecturer and public relations practitioner, Prayudi PhD and Daru Wibowo, MM. Not only followed by high school students, but this action was also followed by the general public who have participated in donating for environmental conservation.

As the advisor of this action, Puji Lestari MSi strongly supported the action of the earth care which was a form of positive environmental communication. This reflects students' intellectuality in Communication Science. "Intelligence is not assessed from high GPA but it is based on how students can apply knowledge creatively to address various environmental issues. This is one of the objectives of Marketing Public Relations packed using the method of design thinking, each group is free to determine the event according to their respective creativity, "he explained.

Komuni-Aksi was expected to increase the awareness of high school students in DIY to be more concern about environmental issues and the balance of the earth's ecosystems. The planting action which was greeted enthusiastically by tens of high school students in DIY was started with the symbolic release of animals by Koko and Cici Yogyakarta Year 2018. The release of these animals was expected to help balancing the ecosystem of Baros Beach that needs to get revitalization. (MG 19)
