Monday, March 20th , 2017, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta under the leadership of the Rector, Prof. Dr. Sari Bahagiarti K. MSc, holds a big dream to add the number of professors (senior lecturers) at UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta. One of the efforts to achieve that purpose, apart from the several academic or scientific writing workshops having been conducted, it is considered necessary to invite an expert in scientific writing to our beloved campus, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta.

DR. Ir. Rr. Rukmowati Brotojoyo from KUI of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, along with the Professorship Acceleration Team in UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, Dr. SinggihSaptono, MT, Dr, Dian Indri Purnamasari, Dr. Herlina Jayadianti, Dr. Partoyo, Dr. Awang Hendrianto, Oliver Simanjuntak, MSc, Hari Kusuma, N., SE, Ak, M. Acc. And Umiyatun Choiriah, MT, try to make this dream come true. Through the offer given by the Senior Expert Service, (SES) in cooperation with UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, on March 20th, 2017, this UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta’s hope did come true. SES is a non-profit organization in Germany which accommodates the expectations of retired experts in Germany, to share various knowledge with others worldwide. Fortunately, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta for the first time receives this special opportunity to receive a visit by a professor from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities II, Department of English and American Studies, Institut fùr Anglistik und Amerikanistik.

The arrival of Prof. Volker Raddatz on Monday, March 20th , 2017 was welcome by the Rector of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. Sari Bahagiarti K., Dr. Drs.Susanta, M.Si, the deputy rector commissioning general affairs and finance, and Dr. Ir. Singgih Saptono, MT., Deputy Rector commissioning Students’ Affairs and Cooperation. It is planned that Prof. Volker Raddatz will be in UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta  to teach Scientific Writing, from March 27th to  April 7th , 2017. Prof. Volker Raddatz will be staying on State Defense Campus for three weeks to present a general lecture on scientific writing to the lecturers in five different faculties, the Faculty of Mineral Technology, Faculty of Economy and Business, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Social and Political Studies and faculty of Industrial Engineering.  Each faculty will receive three face-to-faceworkshops. Prof. Volker Raddatz has substantially great passion and experience in authorship. This is expected to be able to create positives effects and motivation intended to increase the number of publications at UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta.
