MADURA - UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) and University of Trunojoyo Madura (UTM) agreed to cooperate in salt research. So far, UTM is known to have salt products with various types of variants, including salt health and salt lifestyle.
For this reason, both of them agreed to collaborate to improve the results of research by involving experts from each university.
"This collaboration on salt research has been stated in the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two Chancellors in 2018", said Mahreni, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs and Cooperation, during a visit to UTM on Wednesday (1/23/2018).
Mahreni added that the visit this time also discussed the establishment pkan of a Mining Engineering and Petroleum Engineering study program by UTM.
"It is planned that UTM will open a Petroleum and Mining Engineering study program. As a college that first has a study program in the field of geography, UPNVY gives some input regarding this matter”, she said.
On this occasion, UTM offered UPNVY to participate in the International Joint Conference on Science and Technology (IJCST) activities which will be held this year.
It is planned that UPNVY will be invited as an honorary member and it is expected that by 2020 it will become one of the consortium members. (BMW-FTI)
