Sleman - UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta in collaboration with the Center for Geological, Mineral and Coal Human Resources Development (PPSDM Geominerba) and Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) held a training with the theme "The Training Project On Coal Mining Technology". The purpose of this training event was to provide increased knowledge about underground coal mine safety technology. This training was attended by 45 students of the Yogyakarta UPN "Veteran" held on January 28-31 2019, in the Mineral Technology Faculty seminar room.
UPN "Veteran" Chancellor of Yogyakarta, Dr. Irhas Effendi, MS, in his speech said that this training was expected to increase cooperation between UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, especially the Department of Mining Engineering, Faculty of Mineral Technology with the PUSDIKLAT Mineral and Coal MEMR and Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC).
The Chancellor of UPNVY added this training was to be able to increase knowledge related to the underground coal mine safety technology and added insight and knowledge to Teaching and Student Staff to support teaching and learning activities. It was for preparing graduates of Mining Engineering who are ready to use for companies and agencies.
