SLEMAN - UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) has formed a partnership with Eszterházy Károly University (EKU), Hungary for the education qualitylevel. The collaboration between the two parties was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Chancellor of UPNVY, Dr. Mohamad Irhas Effendi, and EKU Chancellor, Dr. Kálmán Lipai, in UPNVY Rectorate Building, Monday (2/9).
This signing is an extension of the previous MoU which will end in 2020. In the previous collaboration UPNVY and EKU had carried out various joint activities.
"In 2017, UPNVY sent three students to study for one semester at EKU and one staff tolea about a capacity building. EKU sent one academician to be a plenary speaker at an international conference and also gave a public lecture to students”, explained Irhas.
Last year, continued Irhas, UPNVY sent lecturers to be the guest lecturers at EKU. Meanwhile, in 2019, UPNVY will send one staff member for learning a capacity development and two students to study at EKU.
"As reciprocity, EKU will send one academician to be a plenary speaker at an international conference and to be a public lecture for students at UPNVY", he said.
In addition to the exchanges of lecturers, staff, and students, UPNVY and EKU will also collaborate in the field of research.
