SLEMAN - A total of 27 students from various study programs and two UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVY) lecturers attended a study socialization and scholarships from the Taiwan Education Center in Surabaya (TECSID), which was held at the Rector's Building on Monday (9/23). TECSID is a non-profit institution from the Ministry of Education of Taiwan managed by Asia University (AU), Taiwan. TECID was appointed to provide information and consultation on higher education in Taiwan to students in Indonesia.
This time, UPNVY as a facilitator from TECID facilitated students and lecturers who wanted to continue their studies in Taiwan.
The Head of UPT Labsa and Foreign Affairs, Dr. Rukmowati Brotodjojo, M.Agr., in her speech said that UPNVY always supports the students and lecturers to continue their education to the doctoral level. It has been a part of efforts to improve the quality of human resources in the UPNVY environment.
"Those who are interested in continuing their studies in Taiwan, can ask various questions about Taiwan such as how to get a scholarship, what your scholarship are, how to live in Taiwan, then what language to use in Taiwan, and the financial benefits that can be obtained, etc.”, said Rukmowati.
The most important thing, continued Rukmo, is to determine what concentration to take, choose a university, then complete the requirements. She also included special tips to be able to study and adapt in other countries so they would not feel shocked. (Rita / PR)
