The Joint Selection for Admission to State Universities (Indonesian abbreviation: SBMPTN) 2017, was held from Tuesday, May 16th, 2017 throughout Indonesia. For the Location Committee (Panlok) 46 of Yogyakarta, in particular, consisting of 5 state universities; Gadjah Mada University, State University of Yogyakarta, “ Veteran” University of Yogyakarta, State Islamic University of Yogyakarta and State Arts Institute of Yogyakarta. 40,895 participants were recorded to have joined the selection.

For Panlok 46 of Yogyakarta, the test was conducted in two methods, the paper based tests (PBT) which were taken by 39,305 participants and the computer based test (CBT), which were taken by 1,590 participants. These participants are competing for seats in 5 state universities in Yogyakarta, with total accommodating capacity of 6.076 seats.

UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, one of the state universities holding the SBMPTN program, with a capacity of 26,273 applicants including the Bidikmisi participants, had 22,590 regular registered participants.

The SBMPTN test located in UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta were held in 2 locations; on the Central Campus located at Jalan SWK 104 Ringroad Utara (North Ringroad), Condongcatur, Yogyakarta, and on Campus 2 on Jalan Babarsari Yogyakarta. The participants for Social-Legal studies of Politics and Social Studies (Humanities) taking the tests at UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta at 09.45 West-Indonesian Time. After taking the SBMPTN entrance test, the participants would have to wait for the results to be announced on June 13th, 2017.

The queue line was long as visible in the so many participants standing in line at the Auditorium Building of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta to verify their personal data and re-register themselves as SBMPTN participants.
