Sleman - UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta held a socialization program for New Student Admissions (PMB) with 52 Counseling Guidance (BK) teachers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) at Grand Dafam Rohan, Tuesday, November 26, 2019.
The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, Dr. Suharsono, MT stated that the admission system for new students entering the State University was implemented through three channels, namely (1) National Selection for State University Entrance (SNMPTN) with a minimum quota of 20% of the capacity of PTN; (2) Joint Selection to Enter State Universities (SBMPTN) with a minimum quota of 40%; and (3) Independent selection of a maximum of 30%.
The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta added a number of new things related to the implementation of the SNMPTN 2020 including the ranking of students in the School and Student Database (PDSS) conducted by schools. Then, the number of students who are included in the ranking in accordance with the provisions of the school accreditation quota, namely, schools with an A accreditation value of 40%, B accreditation 25%, and schools with C accreditation and others are 5% who are the best students in their schools.
He added that for UTBK 2020 the implementation time lasts for one week with 14 sessions (two sessions every day) and was held in 74 UTBK PTN Centers. UTBK participants are only allowed to take one test in accordance with the group of tests they take (Sainstech, Soshum or Mixed). The UTBK 2020 results is only applied to the new students admissions 2020 and the results will be given to each individual participants.
"The important thing to know for potential SNMPTN, UTBK, and SBMPTN 2020 participants is the implementation of the Single Sign On (SS0) policy which is the initial stage of SNMPTN, UTBK, and SBMPTN 2020 registrations where each participant is required to have an LTMPT account by registering an account through page https://portal.ltmpt.ac.id. The time frame for LTMPT account registration is divided into two, namely for PDSS and SNMPTN that will be held on December 2, 2019 to January 7, 2020 and LTMPT account registration for UTBK and SBMPTN will be held on February 7, April 5, 2020”, said the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of UPN" Veteran "Yogyakarta
On the same occasion, Dr. Hendro Wijanarko, as the chairperson of the PMB UPN “Veteran”Yogyakarta in 2020, hoped that the students, schools or community would pay close attention to the timeframe for the implementation of SNMPTN, UTBK, and SBMPTN 2020. The time frame for SNMPTN is LTMPT Account Registration on 02 December 2019 - January 7, 2020; Filling in PDSS and ranking students by school on 13 January - 06 February 2020; SNMPTN Registration on 11-25 February 2020, and SNMPTN Announcement on 04 April 2020.
Hendro added the UTBK 2020 implementation time, namely, LTMPT Account Registration is on 07 February - 5 April 2020; UTBK registration on 30 March - 11 April 2020; Implementation of UTBK on 20 - 26 April 2020; and Announcement of UTBK results is scheduled on May 12, 2020. The SBMPTN 2020 timeframe is SBMPTN Registration on 02 - 13 June 2020 and SBMPTN Results Announcement on 30 June 2020.
