Sleman_The entrance to UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) new admissions in 2020 is not only through the National Selection for State Higher Education (SNMPTN) and Joint Selection for Entrance to State Universities (SBMPTN), but there is also the Independent Selection (SM). UPNVY  Independent Selection is an entry point held by UPN "Veterans" Yogyakarta in the process of admitting new students.

Dr. Hendro Wijanarko, M.Si as the head of new student admissions said that the opening of registration for the Independent Undergraduate Program (S1) in 2020 will be opened from May 21 to July 3, 2020. The exam will be held on July 21, 2020 and the results of the announcement of the UPNVY Independent Selection of the Undergraduate Program will be announced on 31 July 2020. The UPNVY Undergraduate Independent Selection Test System uses Print Based Test System (UTBC).

Hendro added that UPNVY will hold the Independent Selection 2020 test in 8 locations which are in Yogyakarta, Purwokerto, Jakarta, Bontang, Balikpapan, Banjarmasin, Pekanbaru Riau and Madiun. "The bachelor program examination is held simultaneously in a number of cities in Indonesia, so anyone who wants to register to UPNVY can take the UPNVY Independent Selection test for the undergraduate without going to UPNVY campus", he added.

"The capacity of UPNVY new student admissions for the academic year of 2019/2020 has   3,545 seats. There are 709 seats from the SNMPTN track, 1,772 seats are from the SBMPTN track and 1,064 seats are the Independent Selection track”, added Hendro.

On the same occasion, Markus Kusnardijanto, S. Sos as the Head of Public Relations and Cooperation  Division said that the admission of new students is not only for the Bachelor Program, but UPNVY also opened admission of new students for the Diploma Program (D3). There is only one Independent Selection for the Diploma Program (D3) at UPNVY, namely D3 Chemical Engineering study program, Faculty of Industrial Engineering. The capacity of D3 Chemical Engineering UPNVY in 2020 is only as many as 90 seats.

Markus added that the examination system of the D3 Chemical Engineering Program uses a Computer Based Test (UTBK) system. The registration for the D3 Diploma of Chemical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Industrial Engineering UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta opens on July 6 - July 23, 2020. The UTBK exam will be held on July 26, 2020. Meanwhile, the results of the announcement of the UTBK UPNVY Diploma Program will be announced on July 30, 2020.
