Sleman-UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta in cooperation with the Ditlantas Polda (Police General Directorate) of DIY Province held a Goes to Campus dissemination of the service "SIM Online Innovation" (SIMON) at UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta Campus, Wednesday (2/5/2020).

Dr. Irhas Effendi, MS as the Chancellor of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta expressed his appreciation for the activity of the Ditlantas Polda of DIY Province that held a SIM Online Innovation (SIMON) Socialization at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, a State Defense Campus.

"Thank you to the Ditlantas Polda DIY for visiting the campus of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, hopefully this activity will benefit the community, especially for the UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta academic community.

Kompol Sugiyanto as the Head of the SIM Traffic Police Directorate said the purpose of the program goes to campus is to simplify and shorten the process of making and extending the SIM (driving lisence) compared to the conventional methods. An online SIM will make it easier to create and renew the SIM, especially for the students.

The Head of Sub Directorate of Ditlantas Polda added that the National Police continues to improve services, one of which is the extension service and the making of a Driving License (SIM). Online SIM can be accessed from all regions in Indonesia, which means that it does not have to be at the police station that matches the area on the address on the KTP (ID Card). SIM Online (SIMON) is a program created by the Indonesian National Police as a facility intended for the people who want to make and extend a SIM.

"SIM online is a Satpas network in all over Indonesia that has already connected between Satpas. Therefore, the SIM applicants can make new and extended SIM in all Satpas that have been online without being bound by domicile of the ID card. Ditlantas Polda DIY will provide SIMON Goes to Campus innovation service at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, a State Defense Campus, every Wednesday on the third Sunday of every month, Kompol Sugianto added when giving out information.
