Sleman, SIKAP - The Pencak Silat National Championship (Kejurnas) is taking place at the W. R. Supratman Auditorium UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Today is the second day of the martial arts competition between universities in Indonesia. Previously, the opening of the 10th  National Championship which was attended by Irhas Effendi as the Rector of UPNVYK was held on Monday (10/02).

As many as 341 athletes participates in the competition to compete for the RI President  trophy. The match which is divided into three sessions that starts at 8:00 until 22:00 at two midfielders. "Tthere are 10 parties in every session, it is estimated that there are 20 participants in one session, so there are 60 participants who do the match in aday", explained Yoga Saputra as the chief executive.

Tiara, a participant from Semarang State University said, "Before going forward, we were asked to weigh our weight to indicate whether we get the class (condition) or not. If it does not meet the requirements, we will be disqualified." The class divisions are grouped according to the body weight stated, such as class A which includes participants weighing 45 - 50 kg, class B 50 - 55 kg, and class C 55 - 60 kg.
