SLEMAN – One of quality improvements of higher education that UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) does is through collaboration with various agencies and partners. Supporting this, the Agriculture Faculty UPNVY established cooperation with two partners by signing cooperation agreements. The first one is the Ornamental Plants Research and Development Center of Puslitbanghorti, Ministry of Agriculture which took place in Cianjur, Monday (9/3). The second one is an agreement with Gambung Tea and Quinine Research Center, in Bandung, Tuesday (10/3).
The the Cooperation Agreement signing was carried out directly between the Dean of Agriculture Faculty, Dr. Partoyo and Dr. Dadan Rohdiana, Director of Gambung Tea and Quinine Research Center, and Dr. Rudi Soehendi in Research Center for Ornamental Plants Puslitbanghorti. The scope of the two collaborations is in the field of education, research and community service.
Partoyo said this collaboration was a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding between UPNVY and PT. Nusantara Plantation Research that has been done before.
"This collaboration is to accommodate the needs of lecturers and students for research, practice and internships." he said.
Partoyo, who is an expert on land evaluation, said that this collaboration was also carried out as an initial stage in realizing an independent learning program campus at UPNVY. This collaboration makes UPNVY lecturers and students can do researches and improve the publications for both parties.
In the near future, this collaboration will be filled with public lecture activities.
"We will continue to work together with various parties in our country and overseas to improve the quality of education at UPNVY", he said. (wwj / PR)
