Sleman - Faculty of Industrial Engineering UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (FTI UPNVY) announced three new Department Heads (4/23/2020). Three Heads of Industrial Engineering Department UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta period 2020-2024 , namely Dr. Awang Hendrianto Pratomo, S.T., M.T, as  the Head of the Informatics Department, Dr. Sadi, S.T., M.T. as the Head of the Industrial Engineering Department and Dr. Adi Ilcham, S.T., M.T. as the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department.

Hidayatulah Himawan, S.T., M.M., M.Eng, as the Deputy Dean of General and Finance of the Industrial Engineering Faculty stated that the process of selecting the heads of Departments in the Industrial Engineering Faculty for the 2020-2024 period has been completed. The selection process was carried out openly and through consensus via an online media meeting in the midst of a pandemic covid 19 virus outbreak that was still widespread in Yogyakarta. This selection process was carried out by keeping the goals, direction and policies and the interests of the larger and broader institutions.

Himawan, as he was familiarly called, added the heavy tasks and responsibilities became a burden for the elected department heads, bearing in mind that the direction and policies as well as the aim to improve the quality of education were the main targets that must be

achieved in the current management period. Better quality education, superior accreditation (A) and increased functional positions of expert assistants, lecturers, associate professors and professors, are important targets that must be achieved in the years to come. Improving the quality of research through programs that are more planned, integrated and sustainable as well as producing writings that are indexed in accredited national journals and reputable international journals, becomes an important target that must be obtained by each department.

"Togetherness and kinship are expected to be the main foundation of the process of developing the governance and administration system in the Industrial Engineering Faculty. The spirit of struggle that is based on the value of the Defending the State soul must continue to be grown in every element that exists, so that the Faculty of Industrial Engineering can produce graduates who have national and international competitiveness, and have abilities that are in accordance with what is needed by the industry and the business world today and in the future", added the Information Department Lecturer of Industrial Engineering Faculty UPN" Veteran "Yogyakarta.

He also added that the process of changing the Industrial Engineering Faculty into a better, more advanced and more modern faculty would naturally require the support and cooperation of all existing elements. Sincerity and continuous enthusiasm are very much needed in fighting for the direction, goals and policies; it is not an easy thing in the midst of industrial development and very open competition, but the spirit and ideals based on the struggle spirit given by the founding fathers in the beginning of the formation of UPN to us as successors will certainly be achieved gradually and continuously.
