Sleman - Mining Engineering Student Association (HMTA) of Mining Engineering Department, Mineral Technology Faculty (FTM), UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta commemorates the 26th anniversary, May 27, 2020. The anniversary theme raised is "To Be Radiant Star" which means that HMTA can shine more through the achievements and participation of the association members who together contribute to advancing the association for the better.

Adyaksa Bagas Bimantoro as the person in charge of the event explained that the anniversary this time was indeed different from the previous year, the whole series of commemorations were conducted online. Although conducted online, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of HMTA members in enlivening the series of events. The purpose of this activity was to continue to establish the communication and friendship between the members in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Adyaksa added that the event was opened with a speech procession from several lecturers, batch representatives, and alumni of the Mining Department. Then, it was proceeded with various activities held to enliven the HMTA Anniversary including the Twibbon Contest, Open Donation, General Stadium, and Online Game Tournament.

In addition, this activity opened an open donation activity in cooperation with Care Alert which has been held from 12 May to 7 June 2020 with a total fund collected of Rp5,580,591. The collected donations will then be distributed to hospitals and communities affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, there will be a General Stadium with the theme "A Digital Transformation" on June 27, 2020. The General Stadium, which is held online, discusses about the mining world and is aimed at students as well as the general public. It is held in collaboration with HMTA and UPN Sangatta Alumni Association. In closing on July 6-7 2020, there will be Mobile Legend and PUBG online game tournaments," Adyaksa added.

He added that the activity committee has prepared various special prizes for the winners for each race. For the twibbon competition itself, the winner’s most interesting caption will be made into the HMTA Anniversary official twibbon and will be distributed to other members' friends.

"There are indeed challenges for the organizers of the activity, because the activities are held during the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak. Yet, they claim to be more focused on increasing their creativity in digital matters. The preparations for the HMTA Anniversary have been designed a long time ago, but since the sudden pandemic makes us have to act quickly with careful consideration. We must choose activities that are suitable to be carried out during the pandemic this time, and certainly are beneficial," said Adyaksa Bagas Bimantoro.

Adyaksa Bagas Bimantoro hopes that members can further develop their talents, increase knowledge even in pandemic conditions, and also increase members' ability to perform better and make HMTA better.
