Sleman - 5564 participants took the Independent Selection Test at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta on Sunday (9/7/2017), of whom 438 were Bidikmisi participants. The participants were placedin five different cities: 5328 participants in Yogyakarta, 100 participants in Jakarta, 51 participants in Balikpapan, 102 participants in Pekanbaru and 8 participants in Banjarmasin. Since its status was changed into a state university, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta has held Independent Selection Test three times.

Of the three academic subjects, 3261 participants selected science and technology, 2142 participants selected social sciences and humanities and 1888 participants selected the combination of the two academic subjects. The test in Yogyakarta was conducted in five different locations: UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, State High School 1 of Sleman, SMP N 4, Depok, SMK N 1 Depok and MAN 2 (Islamic High School 2) of Sleman.

UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta’s Head of the sib-division of Cooperation and Public Relations, Markus Kusnardiyanto, said that Independent Selection Test (SM) is the last new studentadmission for all study programs at UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta.

“An SNMPTN and SBMPTN test were conducted previously, in January and April, respectively,” Mr. Markus said.

Further, Markus said that the test in Jakarta was held on the campus of UPN “Veteran” Jakarta, and th one in other cities were held in school buildings.

This Independent Selection test was entirely conducted by UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, from the registration, formation of the questions, and supervision during the test. The results of this Independent Selection Test for Admission to UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta would be announced on July 18th, 2017.

Markus warned that all the test-taking participants should observe the test location and place as written in the test card. The participants are expected to have checked the test location and test room one day before they actually take. Location checking could be done on Saturday, July 8th, 2017, from 09.00 to 22.00 West-Indonesia Time on Condong Catur Campus on Babarsari Campus and from 12.00 to 20.00 West-Indonesia Time for the test held in schools.
