SLEMAN - UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVY) Independent Selection exam registration is extended until August 25, 2020. Previously, the registration for New Student Admissions of the Independent Selection was through UTBK scores and Print-Based Written Examination (UTBC) which was opened from 23 July 2020 and will be ended on 24 August 2020. This registration extension is a response to the enthusiasm of the participants who will register at UPNVY.

"The participants enthusiasm has increased after the announcement of UTBK score from LTMPT some time ago. Therefore, the committee decided to extend the registration period by one more day, namely August 25, 2020 until 23.59 WIB", said Hendro Widjanarko, Head of UPNVY New Student Admissions Committee in a zoom meeting, Friday (21/8).

As of Friday (21/8) at 15.00 WIB, there are 6 thousand participants registered for the selection through UTBK scores, and around 2600 UTBC registrants.

"The UTBK score is the score that the participant got on the SBMPTN exam and the UTBC participant must come directly to the exam location in Yogyakarta, Semarang or Purwokerto", he explained.

The exam location in Yogyakarta will be held at UPNVY in Condongcatur campus and Campus II Babarsari, at Semarang in Marsudirini Sedes Sapientiae High School, and at Purwokerto in IT Al Irsyad Al Islamiyah High School.

UPNVY coordinates with the Regional Covid cluster for the exam implementation in the three cities and the exam is carried out in accordance with the Covid-19 prevention protocol.

Apart from the high enthusiasm of the participants, the committee also responds to the participants' requests to pay for the registration forms through teller services at banks.

"Incidentally, this is a long weekend, a holiday, so the participants who will pay the form cannot access the bank directly through the teller. Although, in fact, it can be done at ATMs, e-banking and mobile banking at Bank BNI”, Hendro said.

The participants can pay for the form after getting a payment code which can be accessed via the http://pmb.upnyk.ac.id page. The payment via BNI ATMs is made by selecting the payment menu - Student Payment Center - inserting the UPN Jogja code (9003) - entry - typing the university code (8020) + payment code.

The payment can be done via e-banking and m-banking by selecting the payment menu - selecting the university - entering the payment code.

"After making the payment, the participants will receive a PIN code to re-login into the registration page and continue filling in the data", Hendro explained.

Hendro reminded the participants to read the information on the website carefully. Guidelines, documents, and a list of questions that are often asked by participants have been uploaded on the website so that participants do not experience problems.

"Please read everything first, the certificate of income, health / drug free, everything has its tamplate. Please read it carefully so that you don't get confused when filling in the data," he said.

Hendro also reminded the participants to print the cards on August 24, 2020.

Previously, UPNVY had opened Achievement Admission Path at the Independent Selection this year. This route is a special selection for students who excel in academics, by sport, art and religion. The participants who pass it will re-register on August 24, 2020 online. (wwj / public relations)
