SLEMAN – 10 graduates have received the Karya Cendekia Awards in the fourth period of the Graduation Inauguration of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVY) for 2016/2017 Academic Year, Saturday (15/7/2017). Karya Cendekia is an award given to a student who has excellent academic performance, completes the study in a short time and with great achievements outside the campus and is active in organizational and social activities. This award has been granted for 17 years and is given to qualified students every graduation inauguration period.  

The Award Winner Selecting Committee selected from the 470 graduates by comparing the various evaluation components.

The Karya Cendekia awards were personally given by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sari Bahagiarti K, M.Sc during the graduation inauguration.

The Rector congratulated the award winning graduates and requested that they should not only be good in academic fields but also in the soft skills that they acquired during the years of their study in the university.

“That way, you are going to be scholars with value-added qualifications in order to build your career and to live in your society and work in your work place,” said the Rector when being interviewed in her office.

Henri Susanto from the Management Study Program, with a total grade of 425 as the first rank to receive the award, followed Lukman Salah Romadhona from the Chemistry Engineering with a grade of 409 and FarisMohamad Noor from Geophysical Engineering with a total grade of 377 were selected a the there top graduates. The three of them received a laptop and the 7 other graduates received a digital dictionary from UPNVY. Apart from the awards the award-winning graduates also received savings and other awards from the partners of UPNVY.
