SLEMAN, KRJOGJA.com - Informatics Department of Informatics Engineering Faculty of Industrial Engineering (FTI), Universitas Pembangunan Nasional ‘Veteran’ Yogyakarta (UPNVY) is trusted by the Ministry of Education and Culture through the Independent Learning program - Independent Campus (MBKM) to get a grant to implement MBKM in 2020.
The Head of the Department of Informatics, Dr. Awang Hendrianto P, S.T., M.T. and the head of the Informatics Study Program, Dr. Heriyanto, A.Md., S.Kom., M.Cs. committed to implementing MBKM in the learning process activities which have special characteristics of state defense.
"Through the MBKM Apprenticeship Learning Factory (MLF), the students are expected to be able to produce ready-to-use software products in the Industrial Era 4.0 and Society 5.0," said Awang Hendrianto at UPNVY Campus 2, Jalan Babarsari No. 2 Tambak Bayan Janti Caturtunggal Depok Sleman, Tuesday (10/11/2020).
Awang Hendrianto said, the Informatics Study Program implemented and realized the MBKM Kemdikbud grant with several collaborative partners. What has been established is a student exchange Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to Eszterházy Károly University Hungary, and an industrial internship to FPT Software Vietnam, and Lotus Quality Assurance Vietnam.
"A total of four Informatics Study Program students and three Information Systems Study Program students conduct credit transfers or student exchanges with Tarlac Agriculture University, Philippines which were carried out online during the pandemic period," said Awang Hendrianto.
According to Awang Hendrianto, the MBKM curriculum in the Informatics study program is based on adaptive, flexible, and collaborative learning outcomes through cooperation with partners or other parties related to the scientific field.
"MLF wants to prepare the students to be independent adults. They are expected to be able to produce software products. Also, it carried out student exchanges program and opened international classes in the odd semester of 2020/2021 with Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and independent projects," explained Awang Hendrianto.
With regard to the sustainability of this program design, said Awang Hendrianto, the Informatics Study Program UPNVY is committed to carrying out MBKM activities in the even semester of the 2020/2021 school year.
"The Informatics Study Program has perfected the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) and learning outcomes based on MLF and adjusted to certification on SNDikti and SKKNI standards," explained Awang Hendrianto.
The results of the MBKM program that have been compiled, continued Awang Hendrianto, produced cooperation documents, curriculum documents supporting the MBKM program, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents for registration, selection, assessment, evaluation, conversion of the Semester Credit System (SKS), and criteria for selecting partners.
"The Informatics Study Program has also opened an International class in English which aims to pioneer the formation of student exchange cooperation and familiarize students speaking English on campus, in the learning process and field learning," added Awang Hendrianto.
He explained that in order to support the international student exchange activities, the study program has received support from FTI UPNVY by providing facilities in the form of housing that can be used by foreign students later.
"However, in the meantime during the Covid-19 pandemic, online lectures were conducted," said Awang Hendrianto.
