Sleman - Three students from the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta won the second place in the MANCOM Business Case (Management Competition) competition organized by HMJM (Management Department Student Association), Sanata Dharma University. MANCOM 2020 with the theme "Young Intellectual Power: Tourism Empowerment through Impactful Idea" was held online from September 13 to October 1 2020 via Zoom. UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta took part in the MANCOM 2020 event by sending a "Cazador" team consisting of Karilla Aurellia Azzahra, Hayu Putri Utami, and Syiena Gupita.

Karilla Aurellia Azzahra as the head of the Cazador team explained the presentation material they brought was about the Kedung Pedut Waterfall tourist attraction. She explained that there are several weakness factors of tourist objects in Kulonprogo, Yogyakarta Special Region, such as environmental conditions that become slippery around tourist attractions when it rains and there are problems when it is exploited in the context of utilizing Pertamina's CSR. To overcome this problem, the Cazador team proposed solutions in the short and long term, one of which was by making bilingual signage and Blue Paradise Cottage and Spa with the aim of making Kedung Pedut Waterfall be a tourist attraction of choice for low cost high experience. In line with these goals, by having the solution presented by the Cazador team, the benefits that the Kedung Pedut Waterfall tourist attraction will experience are in accordance with the seventeen points of Sustainable Development (SDG) initiated by the United Nations which are reducing poverty (SDG point 1), quality education (SDG point 4), decent work and economic growth (SDG point 8) and strengthening cooperation (SDG point 17).

Karilla also advised, "even though the conditions were different from the previous one which made us have to compete online, it did not discourage us in preparing to compete in the MANCOM 2020 event. Hopefully, the achievements upheld by UPN students will increase during this pandemic (Covid-19)," concluded Karilla. PR
