IMPROVE LP2M PATENT HOLD WORKSHOP :: dipost pada 25 Agustus 2017

SLEMAN - Higher Education is an institution that becomes the basis of intellectual activity. Therefore, Intellectual Property management is an essential requirement that must be met. Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) UPNVY held workshops of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Drafting Patents and Scientific Journals.

The event was packed in the workshop, followed by approximately 30 grantees from most of the lecturers of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta. The event took place at Rectorate Building, 5th  Floor on August 24, 2017, from 08.00 - 15.00 WIB.

LP2M Secretary representing LP2M chairman, Dr. Hendro Widjanarko, who opened the worshop event socialized several themes  of  Intellectual Property Rights (HKI) and Drafting Patents, and International Scientific Journal Writing.

Hendro, said writing and publishing a journal is an important thing that Professors, Head Lectures and every academic community must have. Therefore, UPNVY always encourages the lecturers, students and researchers to be active writers in their respective fields.

Two speakers namely Yoko Setianto, S.T., M.Si and Dwi Waskito Trisna Utama, S.T from the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Kemenkumham discussed the first theme, starting from the explanation of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Drafting Patents.

Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) is a work of innovation aimed to provide legal protection for its creators, to encourage research activities for the development of new discoveries in various fields of technology, as well as creativity enhancers to the wider community, especially lecturers or researchers.

Yoko told the participants who attended the event, currently the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI), to commit in improving the quality of human resources, especially in the field of education as an effort to realize an innovative and creative culture.
